How to link aadhar card with pan card

Linking Aadhaar card with PAN card can be done online through the Income Tax e-filing portal. Here are the steps to follow:

Step 1 

Visit the Income Tax e-filing portal at https://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-Filing/Services/LinkAadhaarHome.html

Step 2

Click on the "Link Aadhaar" option under the "Quick Links" section on the left side of the page.

Step 3

Enter your PAN and Aadhaar number in the respective fields, along with your name as per Aadhaar.

STEP 4

If only the birth year is mentioned on your Aadhaar card, you can tick the box to indicate the same.

Enter the captcha code as shown on the screen and click on the "Link Aadhaar" button.

A pop-up will appear confirming that your Aadhaar card has been successfully linked with your PAN card.

EXAMPLE 

You can also link Aadhaar with PAN card by sending an SMS to 567678 or 56161. The format is UIDPAN<SPACE><12-digit Aadhaar><SPACE><10-digit PAN>. For example, UIDPAN 123456789012 ABCDE1234F.
